Could 106.7 Lite-FM Dump Delilah?

Word on the street is that Delilah has been hemorrhaging ratings in PPM markets - B98.5 in Atlanta has recently dropped her show.

In all likeliness, Delilah, who has been on WLTW/106.7 Lite FM for over five years now, is likely tied to Lite-FM and other Clear Channel stations for awhile (CC operates Premiere Radio) - though the linked thread above says CC stations have even dropped Delilah's show, too.

Hmmm...

Gee, at this rate, Rush will start sounding like an angry old man - man and group.

Loyalty personality shows on music station in general have done poorly in PPM... we see this most in morning shows, but this low cume-high TSL type of show has suffered in all dayparts.

There are plenty of talents on the air who are not in their demo. Age alone is no indication of inability to serve a particular audience segment.

IIrc, Delilah replaced J.J. Kennedy at WLTW for that shift.

Five years ago is ancient history, of course. That's last decade. But the move at the time was credited to/blamed on cost-cutting, not ratings.

Hence, it's interesting (but not surprising) that the replacement is now being gauged by her ratings.

Anyone remember how J.J. Kennedy's WLTW numbers stood up in retrospect with Delilah's subsequent ones?

Reiterating : It was five years ago. The demos would have been friendlier one way or the other. I'm curious as to the ratings. After all, if that's the criteria now, it reeks of a self-requited prophesy.

Five years ago we had the diary (The PPM mis-fire was late 2007). Now we have the PPM. They are, in many ways, not comparable.

My favorite example of that is John Garabedian. A guy in his early 70's doing a top 40 request show? I love it. I also love the look on faces when you tell people how old John is.

So, is D-girl not playing to the ppm or has her program just run its course?
