COULD 96.9 SEE A NEW FORMAT FOR 2009

I haven't heard enough of Egan but she may be a fiscal conservative but social liberal...and not totally sure of the former. Someone on SaveWRKO has nicknamed that show "Two Chicks Dishing" after the old WRKO
show (note: Mr Braude is not female of course but they're being sarcastic!)

>>"But Jim, But Jim, But Jim".

I do listen to some of McPhee but for the subject matter...not crazy about her voice.

If you stay up late enough try Phil Hendrie--liberal on some issues, conservative on others; he does all kinds of fake voices/humor/satire (1-4 am)

Phil Hendrie is a nobody, I was listening to his show once and after doing a few monologues he had empty phone lines, he complained on air that nobody was calling in. Sorry, hosts with wishy washy middle ground political views dont cut the mustard.

It's entertainment over strict-party-line politics with the Hendrie show, as he literally talks to himself...for awhile he was being
preachy about politics and the "fake voices" were lessened but now he's gone back to his old format. Typical
humor: he does the voice of a young man upset with women who wear wedding rings because they don't
want some single guy hitting on them. One woman calls in and says she's a lesbian and the "young man"
starts breathing heavy (he says it's a sinus condition). Then there's the "Ted's of Beverly Hills" restaurant jingle (fake restaurant)...or Doug Dannger, who manages to say once every minute that he's a gay man and a gay
journalist. Once in awhile Phil does a pretty fun Art Bell spoof.

Where I work, and I work nights, AM recep is tough. If I want talk at that hour it's either Hendrie on WTKK
or Snoring, uh, Sporting News Radio on 98.5

Yeah Coast to Coast AM is synonymous with late night radio and if I ever find myself awake at some crazy hour I'll tune into them.

"Coast to Coast" might be the dominant player in overnight radio, but there are alternatives out there, including my own personal favorite overnight show......The WOR-Network's "Joey Reynolds Show", which can be heard quite easily in this part of the country, thanks to the directional signal of Buffalo NY affiliate 1520 WWKB......and...of course...on 710 WOR as well.

Sure beats the heck out of a steady diet of alien abductions and conspiracy theories. ;)
