Could a Goth Rock/Metal or Symphonic rock format work?

Not a judgment on taste, but music for this kind of narrowly-focused audience seems to be the province of old-school non-coms with block programming, like, say, WPRB or WKDU.
 
I agree with Observ. This is community/college radio stuff.
 
Yeah...really only suitable for the community free-form format. There's actually a good four-hour program on WBZC/Z889 called "The Gagliarchives" that airs Saturday nights from 10PM-2AM....

Closest thing to a true metal format I know of that ever existed on the commercial spectrum was "Z-Rock." Which seemed to be doomed from the start.
