With the long range downsizing of the population in the N.O. area, and with N.O. set to drop like a rock in Arbitron's numbered markets,
And with advertising revenue likely to be down to a fraction of normal for quite a while, especially thru the always lucrative holiday season, thereby putting a serious bite in the bottom lines that attracted them to N.O. in the first place,
It seems logical Clear Channel and Entercom could easily lose interest (and lotsa money) in the N.O. market and pull out in favor of other markets, selling their N.O. properties to smaller corporations.
If so, the radio landscape both on air and behind the scenes could be totally different in the next 6-12 months.
