It really speaks volumes for both stations: KDKA is still the go-to news station, even though the radio side has exactly one field reporter and the remainder of the sound is TV (and live news stops sometime after 7pm, and none on weekends). That's still better than WPGB, which has radio news sent down the ISDN from Cleveland--with one field reporter as far as I know (and even then, part-time). Additional audio is from WPXI, when available.KQV, for all the crap it gets, does have a full complement of news reporters and anchors. But it doesn't have the KDKA go-to heritage.Too bad no one is interesting to "go-to" KDKA for their non-news programming.
