Could Oldies soon be back in Charlotte?

For more information, read the "Is there an Oldies in the wind for Greensboro?" thread on the Raleigh/Greensboro board, especially the newest posts made this weekend - rumor has it that Hitz 94/WTHZ could be going Oldies soon. If that was the case, Hitz also has a great signal in Charlotte. Just thought I'd pass this on.

Good luck with that Gig! ....... If I had a bet, I would say don't look for ANY changes at Hitz. Go down to Carowinds Blvd and see how "good" that "signal" is.

Well, folks, looks like it's really going to happen! WTHZ is probably going to stunt with Spanish programming next week (probably Monday or Tuesday?) and will most likely be Oldies. More info on Ral/G'boro board!

Good enough...I wouldn't mind.

Yup - It's coming on Wednesday. Oldies, Oldies, Oldies! Maybe they'll get it right this time. Maybe advertisers will actually want Oldies. Maybe they're not going to call it Oldies. Guess we'll all know really soon.

In this copy cat business I find this hard to believe. You can bet I'll be listening to see what happens.

It's official! I didn't listen long because I'm not carrying a radio with me, and besides, Westwood One Standards was playing "When I Fall In Love" by Nat King Cole.

JEEZE, the oldies format is dead, no one will advertise on an oldie station, you want oldies, go to XM
