Could Sarah Michelle Gellar save HBO?

Nobody discussed this, but it appears that Sarah Michelle Gellar may be returning to television next year with a new HBO series called "The Wondering Maladys".

Now this may be coming off the heels of HBO dominating the Emmys as always with their "John Adams" miniseries, but let's face it...things are not happy go lucky at the cable outlet these days. AMC's "Mad Men" has drawn critical praise (and an Emmy), and Showtime to go along with "Dexter" and "Californication" now holds possession to "Inside The NFL", which had been an HBO staple for the last 31 years!

As for SMG? Her film career has hit some speed bumps, and except for the occasional public appearance, we've missed her constant presence on television.

I hope Sarah's new show (if it gets greenlit) could be HBO's only hope in saving the channel, because they sorely need it.

Oh yeah...Sarah Michelle Gellar still has her fans around the world, unlike that other Sarah who's in the news every day now...and I'm getting sick of it!!!

No offense, but i'm willing to bet the other Sarah currently has more fans.

As for the other Sarah, she won't be saving HBO on her star power. HBO already has shows with stars, like big love, entourage, ect. Star power justs guarantees people will tune in and give it a chance. The show will be a hit if its good.
