Could the end be near? Pamal in trouble?

The end has been in progess since the beginning!! Pamal takes 2 stations from Clearchannel, cleans out the talent, and ruins the product(s), and they expect things to be rosey??? And now we have to sit through another rah-rah session from the suit in Albany, only to have the REAL story come out a couple of days later! Funny to hear the Higher Ups at Camp Pamal-Rutland, trying to figure out who to cut and where to cut, when WE ALL know that process should begin with each of them starting with the one in the mirror!

The saddest part of all is that Jimmy "The Troll" MOE-rel had over just the past 2 - 5 years an awesome stable of local and national talent (both behind and in front of the mic) all willing to cut him slack, work on spec (at least in part) and suffer the abuse just to prove that live, local radio was viable. With all the work that the suits have done to destroy radio, that entire stable was frothing to fight back and win one for Jimmy and the business.

His thanks to them was to abuse them (verbally and fiscally), spit in their professional eyes, belittle them and actually - in group settings - actually BLAME them for his own idiocy (he brags about his wisdom in turning down the opportunity to own the first Honda dealership in the Capital District back in the day... like "stupid" is a medal to wear).

MOE-rel is a creepy little man who, in an ocean of Wise Guys who move millions of bucks a year under the radar within a stone's throw of his office, is not even a player among them! If I didn't know the spawn of Lowery's sperm and (I guess) the Mrs' ovarian output, I would suggest that MOE-rel is the biggest a-hole in the dirt lot car business who happens to own a handful dying radio stations and a couple of dollar a hollar "motels". Until the likes of those other folks die in a fire (okay, have it your way, so that's "figurative", sure) he will have to settle for second.

All three of you are nothing but a bunch of whiners and cry babies unhappy where you are! Why don't you all just find another line of work. I can't tell you about the situation in Albany, nor would I if I knew, but what I CAN tell you is that Pamal in Rutland is STRONG! We perform here! The best of everything: Talent, content, promotions and sales! You haters need to stop hating and get on board, or jump off.

The ownership has been very good to us. PERIOD!

Bid-you don't fool me I know your in this building somewhere.
Poon-you can resign any day.
MT1-it's clear that your not happy in Albany, come to Rutland-you can work for the Fox.

THE MAN

THEMAN, So nice to hear from you! As part of your healing process with the fact that you and the other stoogies have run those stations into the ground, I think you should spend some time alone. Perhaps in your studio, with the door locked, and the "on the air" light on, and perhaps, put the TV on for a few hours, and wisk yourself away from all the stress of your daily duties. Oh wait, YOU ALREADY DO THAT!!! Sorry sir, see you for 5 at 10...I can't wait to tell you one day, that TODAY I AM INTERVIEWING FOR A JOB AT A REAL STATION!! Until then , it's the same ol same ol....

Holy cow! "THE MAN", why are you upset at me? I was just pointing out an interesting string on another board, that may hold some interest HERE. First of all, I don't even know where "this building" is, let alone who you are. Be cool. No hatred here :)

Looks like, according to the board from Albany, that Pamal is looking or may be looking to unload a few stations to stop the bleeding.

What are the chances that this happens in Rutland? Would Catamount soon be for sale? Who would buy them?

Take it easy Poon.
Take it easy MAN.
Just asking a question. ::)

Strong? In what way? I'm curious because just for the sake of arguement (seeings how I cannot listen first-hand) even if you were to push out a good product, if you have unhappy employees and they exit, or you push them out the door because they're costing you too much, just how strong is that company again?

This is not to say I don't understand the times. Perhaps you have overspent on talent and need to cut costs because of the economy. But having to let anyone go under any circumstance, other than their own incompetence, I wouldn't consider strong. :-[
