Could this happen here?

Interesting news on the LA board about Mexico's Grupo Radio Centro LMA'ing KMVN from Emmis. I could see some of the lower-rated stations here doing something similar.

With the U.S. economy in the tank, and radio struggling, I've wondered about the possiblity of some form of foreign ownership being allowed in order to possibly give the industry a boost. The deal with KMVN could be a first step.

Don't be surprised if it doesn't happen sooner rather than later. David Eduardo wrote on the LA board about how the son of th President of this company was born in Houston. Which will allow them to eventually, buy a station in the states.
