Could Wachs be taking over for Ryan Cameron...

On Atlanta and Co with Holly Firfer? With Wachs getting his teeth fixed and telling Rodney Ho that his new gig is in Media, what are the chances Jew Daddy does some TV time? I liked his Fox Sports segments a while back.

The problem with Larry doing tv is that he is really funny looking.

Funny-looking people never translate well to television: Just ask Jay Leno, Gary Shandling, Patton Oswalt, Don Knotts, John Gibson, Ryan Cameron's eye, Pam Martin...

I think funny looking might have been the wrong choice of words. The people you have named might be considered cute to some women out there. Well, Larry is not exactly blessed with cuteness. Larry has a great voice, but looks, poor poor Larry. He needs to hide his face.

I've heard the names of Matt Stewart from Comcast Sports, John Kincade from 680 and Ray from "Cindy and Ray" tossed around.

Not a chance in hell this is happening. Nobody is less telegenic than Larry Wachs. Plus could you think of someone more wrong to host that show than him? Hey, I just got a new set of weights, does that mean I'm getting ready to take Michael Vick's spot with the Falcons?

This just in from Flowery Branch:

Falcons announce signing of free agent QB Wooder.

"He bought a weight set and that's good enough for me," said coach Bobby Petrino.

Is Firfer leaving too, or just Cameron?

I don't know if anyone has noticed this, but I think Wachs is too ugly for TV.

Hey, the guy did a VERY good job with his Fox Sports segments. He didn't look as goofy on TV as I thought he would. Fox wanted to re-up but Larry, being typical Larry, wanted more money and ended up losing the gig. The guy is funny and could be the perfect fit for the animatronic that is Holly Firfer. At the very least, they could use him for vignettes on the show.

Lol... Animatronic...

Guess those 15 years at the largest international news network was an accident...

Funny... you defended Barnes hard and now Firfer. Hmmm? Sorry, I've seen the show, she should have stuck to reading from a teleprompter.

It's really not that funny since I told everyone when I was defending Barnes that I had know him for 10 years. So, you would imagine that through it all I probably would have met Firfer as well.

And I think she does a good job with what she has to work with on that particular program. And, beyond that, she is a great person who does as much charity work around this town as anyone else in the media I can think of, because I see her at almost every event I ever go too.

But, by all means, take a few more pot shots from the bleachers. That's what this board is for, anyway....

What does being a good person have to do with this? I'm sure she's very nice. This wasn't supposed to be a bash Holly Firfer thread. But she's stiff as a board on-air with no insight or focus. Sorry...

Count me as a Firfer fan too! And being a nice person DOES count.....personality is far more than just being the "pop star" radio rock star.
I don't know what you mean by "stiff as a board." She was voted as the "sexiest voice on the radio." My God man.....what do you desire for morning entertainment? Does she have to take her clothes off too??

Well then let's just agree to disagree. Mike Wheeler is sitting behind his desk as we speak trying to figure out when and how to relieve Holly of her duties. Good luck to her.

Oh really. Did you get that in your weekly call with Mike? Since I don't know him personally, I won't speculate as to his planning, but if he in fact did that and Rick Caffey let it happen, they, in my opinion, would be making a grave mistake for these reasons:

1) She does have a regular television show that airs on a network affiliate, which, like the show or not, is good visibility for Dave.

2) She commits time and energy to the charity circuit like I haven't seen in a while, and I have personally seen her at events where she was the lone representative from any radio station. In turn, her reputation with charities, PR firms, other media outlets (magazines, etc.), and corporate people is well documented.

3) This is a matter of opinion, but I actually like her style of delivery. Outside of that, however, she is one of the better interviewers out there. A reputation that I have also heard from a number of people I've done work with at CNN.

4) She was also a producer at CNN and I'm sure that experience comes in handy behind the scenes.

But I'm just spitballing....

And, even if that did happen, I have a feeling she might end up with other opportunites in the market, sice there is a lot of shifting going on right now...
