Could we see a HD-2 Dance war in Miami?

With the post below talking about Party 93.1's web stream popularity and the growing interest in HD sub channels, I wonder if WPYM will see a on air revival... on 93.1-II.

Of course I have wondered that anyways for a while, but the fact that WPOW did beat Cox to the HD punch had me less enthusiastic.

Could you all see it? Two HD Dance sub channels in Miami?
______________

I could see it, but it wouldn't last long, and who would win out is a tough call. On one hand, Power 96 has much more experience. Sure they've been out of the dance game for five years, but before then they were the radio voice of South Florida's dance scene for nearly a decade. On the other hand, Party 93.1 is much more fresh in the memories of listeners as an over-the-air signal carrying the genre (as most people don't have HD radios yet, so most probably don't even know that Dance Dash 2 is anything more than an online stream). If WHDR-2 can play on that notion, they might come out on top.
______________

Guys.. I dont want to ruin the party.. but their streams are not getting any listeners. Its all propaganda. At first when I saw that I was somewhat excited.. considering that their ROCK station is a complete bomb.. and it did hit me in the back of the head.. asking myself "Just maybe they could ditch the Rock station.. and bring back a new and better Party... with Jocks.. better music selection... and more variety on the playliist"... but looking at their web stats from Alexa.. it goes to show they aren't getting many hits to their site at all... there really is no interest from the Miami public.. Im sure half of their hits are from the internet world... and not the South FL world. :( - It kind of sucks because the club scene down here is amazing. The djs this town is bringing in is unbelievable... Just a shame that a city like Miami does not have a single station playing dance music.

My question here is, if anyone were at all concerned about the potential for Power's HD dance channel to do well in Miami, why bother battling it with yet another HD signal when a traditional signal - even a rimshot, mind you - would beat it hands down? I'm looking forward to the potential future and possibilities for HD programming, but it's far too early to be looking for battles. There's simply not enough receivers out there in consumer hands yet.
