Countdown to the end of "MyNetworkTV?"

I have yet to hear anything that indicates that the latest moves by Fox have made any dent in MNTV's dissasterous "test pattern" ratings. Is it to early to start playing taps?
How long should we give this sorry excuse for TV programming?
I give them a month before affiliates jump ship. Well technially, I predict many of these affiliates will either be sold or fold entirely.

Anyone?

"I predict many of these affiliates will either be sold or fold entirely."

In the San Francisco Bay Area, the MyNetworkTV affiliate is KRON 4. It was owned for over 50 years by the San Francisco Chronicle Publishing Co, and was the area's NBC affiliate for all of that time. It was sold to Young TV, which managed to lose the affiliation in a stupid stand-off with the NBC network, which had wanted KRON as an O&O.

After the affiliation was yanked, KRON started on a downhill slide, went into a signifcant operating deficit, and had to terminate staff, including most of the reporters on their formerly excellent news team. MyNetworkTV was seen as a shot in the arm for them, though it was hard for me to understand how a "telenovela" format could possibly draw many viewers in the 'sophisticated' Bay Area.

Now it looks like it couldn't draw viewers anywhere. This will be another blow to KRON. To add insult to injury, they had to give up one of their signature shows - the 9:00 PM News - in order to schedule MNTV. The ABC O&O in town jumped into that breach, and is now producing a 9:00 PM news show that runs on independent TV20, which had time to fill after losing their affiliation with the WB.

Poor KRON - talk about being kicked when you're already down...

I can't speak for the batch of dramas that are running on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, but I do know that My Network had much better numbers on Monday with the IFL fight league thing. They also scored decent numbers with an Anna Nicole Smith special last week. I also hear that the movies they're running on saturday (now thurs and friday) are getting okay numbers.

My Network has yet to lose any affiliates. Fox will find a way to make this work. The network (regardless of what it's called) won't go anywhere. It's only 7 months old anyway. Give it time.

I don't think the money men behind "MY" will give it much more time before making changes. I hear rumors of "Reality Programming" coming to "My". Just what we need less of on TV.

The ironic thing is armed with the best shows from UPN and The WB the CW can't even get up to the old ratings UPN had. It serves them right for giving us fewer outlets for good shows.

There isn't a single show that I watch on Fox so that tells you what I think of their programming.

I never said there wouldn't be changes. In fact, many changes have already been made. Last night's run of the movie "Fled" got some good numbers in some markets. They'll do whatever it takes to keep this network going.

Slightly off topic, but does KBWB have better ratings than KRON? What about KICU and KFTY? Any word on the San Fran indy wars over there?
