Sorry Quad...just an impersonal observation that the tone of the comments by some reminds me of a shrieking, little girl. Nothing personal about those doing it. Just because one uses descriptive analogies does not mean they are not objective...and they certainly don't imply a personal feeling one way or the other. That said, I have been condescending...which can certainly appear as if I feel one way or another about the posters, instead of their antiquated perspective. Sorry if I made it seem like I cared. (I'm sure as hell not going to get into a personal discourse wiith someone as old as a pair of my shoes)

BTW, I find it a bit telling that posters assumed I had some connection to the market beyond participating in the thread...and thought I had a responsibility to reveal myself. But, there are several on here who express detailed knowledge of the stations & people involved...and no one expects/asks the same of them. Is it just because it would seem to be more fun with someone you disagree with?

YOU HAVE BEEN CONDESCENDING, VERY MUCH SO....It is people like you who give radio a bad name....it is people like you who take the fun out of it all.....and I could care less if you even cared, b/c I can describe you in more ways than just a worm, that I desire not to post on here, b/c the mods would handle it...AND BELIEVE ME, I TELL THE TRUTH ON THAT!!!!

And to be honest...people who decide to condescend on topics like this, need to reveal who they really are....that way we really know the ass who made an ass of himself....and I know as well some of us including myself have given very detailed outlooks on what FMX was and what they did, and if you don't like it, tough crap, nobody told you to get involved in this thread, so as a kind-hearted soul, I am asking you to get out and STAY OUT!!!!

People who wish to make bad mouthed comments about a hometown station need to be given the boot out the door, then stricken by lightning, and left to rest in a hospital bed the rest of his miserable life....there are a lot of people here who have given their time to FMX and relished old, OLD memories, and if you don't like it, like I said...GET OUT OF HERE!!!!

Do us all a favor and LEAVE ASAP!!!! NOW, GET OUT OF HERE, NOW!!!!!!!

I've held off commenting on this for awhile because I realize you're just 18, but I know kids younger than you who act more mature.

And for what it's worth, I have enjoyed the comments of badnews and think he knows what he's talking about.

I'm glad you people enjoy such comments...and no I never watch Seinfeld....I thought of it as the stupidest program out there, wheter it be comedic or not....and yes my veins were popping outta my head when i posted replies as to what badnews had said, b/c hey, I know we are all entitled to our opnions and it's as they say, opinions are like assholes, everyone's got one....and some of his opinions and comments I took rather harsh, just b/c i felt them delivered as such...and if no one likes it tough crap....b/c i believe that some of the replies posted on here by badnews made him feel as though his **** didn't stink, well badnews it does, and those who wish to concur with tha "docter" go ahead....b/c it is people like you that make me sick to my stomach, people that dis a popular radio station, esp when it came to NASCAR coverage...hell my uncle who be 46 in a few days, WFMX was the only thing he would listen to, no WTQR, WSOC, WKKT....none of that, and well neither did I unless my sister had the nerve to turn it to WKKT...other than that the other station I would listen to would be WRFX, WPEG, and KISS 95.1

Now if you people wanna make me feel as though I am the bad guy here, go ahead, I will shed a false tear to you....as you people aren't and probably aren't worthy to be lucky enough to be an employee for FMX...

Thanks....I'm sorry I got so pissed at you...it was very irrational of me...and I apologize for it...it was just some of the comments about the station that you had made that made me lose it....Right now, everything is looking good, I just need to get my licensing from ASCAP and BMI then I can go back on the air....and of course I am looking for DJ's, so If you are interested, hit me up on one of my messengers....

I'm sorry, that is just my opinion, the best show of all time would have to be Home Improvment or Raymond, they are the funniest damn shows out there....Seinfeld, kinda makes me puke a bit.....

Do you guys seriously think Billy Buck has a thin dime invested in buying a $700,000 station? I'm sure he's getting his 5% equity by working for nothing.

You say that like it's a bad thing. I applaud him. If the house was paid for and I had a few bucks stashed, I'd gladly work a deal like that. In Buck's case, it's someone who loves the community and the station, and is committed to it. You know he'll do the right thing, because he's part of the community, and you don't "mess" where you eat. Maybe we all need to remember the Communications Act that made all this possible years ago -- there's the part about operating "in the community interest, neccesity and convenience." It doesn't seem like taking a heritage station that serves an audience and community off the air, flipping its format, and moving it to another city is doing that. And don't say it's all about money -- if that were the case, there would be no need to regulate the broadcast spectrum "in the community interest, neccesity and convenience" (Whoops, there's that phrase again)-- it would have just been whoever has the most money and the biggest stick, gets it. There needs to be a return to public service -- and I think the FCC got it right, initially -- local stations WILL serve the community.

Amen, brother, AMEN.....This is a very good point, and when Billy gets everything around, and everything gets picked back up, WSIC will be as strong as ever....even w/o WFMX there, even though I think CC needs to stick a sausage up their asses and go to an early grave, I can't and couldn't stop the move, but hey, there will always be room for a new FM to move in there....someday....hopefully....

But back to business i guess....I still operate my internet station everyday...and it runs strong....but I WILL NEVER and REFUSE to pay 50-100 G's every year just for the damn engineering BS the FCC wants to pull....if it were up to me...I would just make terrestrial stations pay out a normal license fee like 300 or so a year, or semi-quarterly....but not 50-100,000 dollars a year....it is honestly rediculous....
