Counties without cable systems

what is weird is looking at the public files for Mid-Rivers they said the franchise was sold March 2015 yet I cant find any info on who bought it. Their FCC file just says "deleted":

but their main page says "Hysham (system sold 3/1/15)"
 
Maries County MO (Columbia-Jeff City DMA). Again, this county may have had one or two systems which have since gone belly up.
 
some confusion here

Hooker County, NE has only 2 towns in it. One supposedly has cable (Mullen). FCC site says it does but zap2it and titantv come up empty

The company (consolidated nebraska) only shows voice and internet

Block Island, RI, their cable company went out of business, why can't Comcast expand there, so everybody in Block Island also gets NECN. Oh, wait, they are in conflict with WHDH, but this is Rhode Island so Rhode Islanders don't care, unless they live in Cape Cod. Then again, they need cable anyways, since they can't get any networks over the air as the Boston and Providence stations don't reach far enough... ;)
 
Apache County, AZ (population 70,000+) has no cable systems in its boundaries despite the presence of 12 CDPs/cities/towns with a population of 1,000+ each. Also, there appears to be no cable anywhere on the Navajo Indian Reservation, which includes parts of three states and over 170,000 people.
 
Wheeler County OR (Portland DMA). I entered all three of the county's ZIP Codes (97750, 97830, 97874) on Zap2it and they came up empty. Also nothing on Cable Search.
 
Cleveland County AR (Little Rock DMA). Community Cablevision used to serve the town of Rison, but nothing comes up on Screener or Cable Search.

They aren't missing anything, and their lives are richer for it in more ways than one.

Another system (Summit Digital) claims to serve Crawford County, and their website is still live.

Another cable-less county: Kenedy County TX (Corpus Christi DMA) population 416.
