Country 92.5 Giveaway

Country 92.5 and Illusions Dance Club in Wolcott have teamed up to give away a very sweet looking ATV! It's a racing model valued at $7500. To enter to win stop buy Illusions Dance Club - 1639 Wolcott Road in Wolcott every Friday and Saturday night between 6:30PM and 8:30PM. When you pay your cover charge make sure you ask Samantha for your entry form. Fill it out and drop it in the box on the first table. The more times you come to Illusions the better your odds of winning are. Country 92.5's afternoon DJ Bama Lance will be at Illusions for their Thanksgiving Eve Blow-Out Party on Wednesday November 24th and will be picking the winner. You must be present to win. The ATV is on display on the stage at Illusions right next to the DJ booth. Stop by the DJ booth and say "Hi" to me. I will be manning the CD players 7PM-9PM and DJ Walt takes over at 9.

Illusions has great food, drinks, sexy waitresses, a great music mix 35% Country to 65% Non-Country, a mechanical bull, darts, video games, 10 pool tables, and TVs tuned top the best in sports.

If you have to pay a cover charge at the club in order to get an entry form... wouldn't that be considered "pay to play" and thus making the contest illeagal?

Last time I checked, there needs to be a way for people to enter where they don't have to pay a fee or purchase something to do it.

I was just going to ask the same thing! I thought the C.C. legal department knew better than that!

I'm very suprised that Country 92.5 did not pick the Cadallac Ranch in the plantsville/Bristol CT area for this contest... that place is a 100% country bar, and country 92.5 is very well known there.

The truth of the matter is Country 92.5 and Illusions have had a business relationship dating back to the early days of Country 92.5 in the early days of Country 92.5 Illusions was a straight up country bar and Country 92.5 used to broadcast live from Illusions every week.

Furthermore The Caddy Ranch is failing and it's up for sale. - I'm not just saying that because I help out at Illusions. Facts are facts. And I know people who go there.

I will take your word for it. I have not been there since May because my High school sweetheart moved away to Montana... she was a VERY die hard country fan. I really enjoyed country 92.5 concert for kids at the Caddy back in I believe it was March.

Radio stations do not generally pick places for giveaways. Contests like this are usually done as sales packages and whoever wants to pony up for the advertising will get the promotion. It also maybe a case where Illusions came to the radio station with the prize and wanted to tie them in.
