Country at the Jersey Shore

I like that we have two country stations in the Monmouth-Ocean market now. Between the two I have enjoyed Cat Country 96.7/104.1 more than Thunder 106.3/5. The music selection sounds better to me. The signal is not too bad either basically from Middletown to southern ocean. Not that Thunder is bad however I'm turning to the cat more these days.

I agree that CC has a better playlist.I live in Midwood Brooklyn and I just gave Press info on the Brooklyn 106.3 pirate.1310 comes in weak but listenable in southern Brooklyn.I noticed that CC has not shown up in the ratings. When 1310 was WJLK country, the signal would not reach Brooklyn. so I do not know why things have changed.

Sampled the Cat Country playlist and was disappointed. Nothing more than a few years old. With two country stations in the area, how is it that no one is playing any classics? I mean, not even any Garth Brooks or Martina McBride, but a whole lot of Sam Hunt & Jana Kramer if you're into that. Basically, we've got two "twang pop" stations. If I'm in a country mood, I stream a classic country station ... there's good ones in NY & MD, for instance.
