Country Christmas Music

I was listening to KIX 97.9/100.9 last night while out and about just before 5:30PM and they played a Country Version of "All I Want for Christmas is You". It was by Vince Vance and The Valiants. I also heard them play a Country Version of "Santa Baby" by Kellie Pickler just after 11PM when I got home. According to YES.COM they also played "Jingle Bells" by Kenny Chesney during the 10PM hour. It also appears they are playing 2 Christmas Songs an hour. Some by Country Artists, some not i.e. Brenda Lee's "Rockin' Around The Christmas Tree" and Elvis's "Blue Christmas". (At least it wasn't Porky Pig's version of Blue Christmas LOL).

Meanwhile in years past I have heard Christmas music mixed in on KIX's sister station WWYZ, but they weren't necessarily the Country Versions. A lot were the traditional version more likely to be heard on an all Christmas Station such as WRCH.
