Country Countdown

I picked up this tape of a country countdown from '83. It sounds syndicated like AT40. There are no station IDs on the tape. Any ideas on what station this was on back then?

Listened to some more tapes and found out the name of the show: American Country Countdown.

Very widely distributed show, was pretty well produced. I liked it.

I seem to remember this on KYKR in Port Arthur (which is now 93.3 and a rimshot for Houston), but I could be mistaken.

I vaguely remember this being on KIKK-FM.

My intuition was on KIKK being that KKBQ was top 40 back in '83. In fact, there's a snippet of 93Q on one of the tapes and Michael Jackson is playing, of course. I wish the original owner didn't pause in between songs.

I think it was on KILT, Bob Kingsley hosted if I remember correctly.
