Country Legend Hal Ketchum

Go here for the horror.

God bless you and his family always!!!

Holly (a day one fan of him)

P.S. 2020 can kiss my Holly hump.

Awww...love 'Small Town Saturday Night.' May he forever RIP.

Unique voice and a damn good songwriter, too. My favorites were "I Know Where Love Lives" and "Sure Love." He also did a very good remake of "Five O'Clock World," a song, so the story goes, that he had loved for years and asked his producer, Allen Reynolds, if he could see about getting it for him to record -- at which point Reynolds told Ketchum, "Hal, I wrote that song!" Indeed he had, and Ketchum apparently had no idea!

Local news credited him with hits, including, in addition to those mentioned above, "Long-Haired Country Boy." While he did indeed participate in a remake of "Long-Haired Country Boy," I will always associate that one with Charlie Daniels, who we also lost this year.
