On FM, Classic Country would do well at first 12+ but have poor demos. But after a couple of books it would drop considerably, unless they started playing some currents. I don't think there's ever been a successful country station that didn't play currents. There have been lots of attempts at country oldies, but they never seem to last very long.
On AM, I wonder if it will even show in the ratings. In Memphis WMC-AM (which was the country station there in the 70s and 80s) switched to classic country a year or two ago. They have a much better signal than KBET, but only in a good book do they get a one share, usually it's below that.
I would expect Beasley to start running some of the half-hour infomercials at odd times on KBET. Eventually, someone will come along wanting to buy some hours for their talk show. Give it a few years, and it will probably sound somewhat like the old KDWN, but maybe with classic country during the unsold time.
