Country Legends 96.1- KIOX

They are up and running with a classic country format. From what I could tell its 60's- early 90's. Good imaging, no live jock, no commercials yet.

I heard them for a long time this morn they sounded real good but they are off the air now. A friend of mine talked to someone that knows the situation and he says they are still testing there new transmiter and will be back on tommorrow for good.

They are comming in strong out at my place around 12 or so miles south east of Hallitsville. On my sony HD Radio the signal strength is full bars over a dipole antenna. They sound good hope they do well.

Decided to take a drive down 59 this (Tuesday) evening specifically to give it a listen. Coming southwest out of Houston, I could hear it at Crabb River Rd (Grand Pkwy). By most people's standards it wasn't listenable, but I heard enough to know it was them. By the time I got down to Hwy 36, it was quite listenable. The technical sound (audio processing) sounded good. The programming (music) left something to be desired. For the 30 to 45 minutes I listened, I only heard two songs that I would consider Country legends.

Nonetheless, I was impressed at their signal into parts of Fort Bend County!!!
