Country Music Pirate in NYC area?

Were my ears fooling me, or did I hear a pirate station playing country music on 101.5 FM today? Unfortunately, the signal was mixing in with NJ101.5 on my car radio in Queens today, so I was not able to keep the station consistently...there was a live DJ and I heard several (older sounding, but I am no country music expert) country tracks.

Has anyone else heard it?

Seemed to be some DX going on this morning. I've been hearing 96.1 out of Allentown PA and also 107.3 out of Atlantic City. I'm in Bergen County,NJ Wishful thinking that it could've been a new local station.

It may have been 101.3 WGGY out of Scranton which plays country music. "Froggy 101"

It definitely wasn't either...I heard it yesterday afternoon, there weren't any DX catches on any of the other FM frequencies. It was also right on 101.5.

The station sounded very unpolished, definitely not like a commercial or licensed station. I wish I could have caught more, but NJ 101.5 was cutting in.

There's a Pirate on 101.5 in Brooklyn that plays Country music sometimes on Sunday. They also play Soca music during the week and on the weekends.

Interesting. I'm assuming it's not the *same* pirate, or is it?
