Country music

I think I'm remembering the lyrics correctly. My Dial Global standards station played "Don't You Ever Get Tired" yesterday morning because Jack Greene died. I really liked it.

The morning show is hosted by the man who owns the station and I didn't know he spent 20-plus years as a country DJ. He has a tendency to play country records that don't seem to fit, but I hadn't really noticed that or heard him mention his love of country music until recently. I thought he liked oldies--the softer ones. And he does, most of the time.

Anyway, how much does your station play country music that didn't cross over?

This is Dial Global, not a locl station. Saturday afternoon I heard these lyrics:

"It keeps right on a-hurtin' since you're gone."

I looked those up and it was Johnny Tillotson. It sure didn't sound crossover.
