Country on CHR?

Some CHR station must've had a Country music special, because these songs all just appeared near the bottom of the Mediabase CHR/Pop chart with a few spins each:

Tim McGraw - My Old Friend
Dixie Chicks - Godspeed (Sweet Dreams)
Tim McGraw - All We Ever Find
Shania Twain - Forever and For Always
Diamond Rio - I Believe
Darryl Worley - I Miss My Friend
Lonestar - Let Them Be Little

Keith Urban also got a whopping two spins with "Making Memories Of Us". Further up the chart, Rascal Flatts' "What Hurts the Most" and Carrie Underwood's "Jesus, Take the Wheel" are both slowly but surely gaining spins.

In other news, Click Five and the Backstreet Boys are tanking (perhaps indicating that CHR isn't quite ready to accept boy-bands again, regardless if they mimic the Beatles or not), while the illustrious Mr. Blunt is now in the Top 20. Kelly Clarkson, look out!! :)

Some station probably flipped formats to Country, and hasnt been removed from mediabase yet.

Actually, I like hearing country on CHR. My internet stream has received several requests for Carrie Underwood's "Jesus, Take the Wheel".<P ID="signature">______________

One country song in particular which I bet did show up on CHR airplay logs at the height of its popularity was Gretchen Wilson's "Redneck Woman". Along with psuedo-classics like "Achey Breaky Heart" and "All My Ex's Live in Texas", it's one of the few Country songs which many non-Country fans are familiar with... sort of like how a typical Country music fan would probably recognize a CHR track like "Who Let the Dogs Out" or "Livin' La Vida Loca".

NOPE. No CHR radio station (thankfully) played this record. I am surprised though that many CHRs are playing Trina's "Here we Go" during all dayparts. I know it's not a Country song, and it has a good vocal chorus, but it also has one of the worst Rap verses of ALL TIME. Even Milli Vanilli and Vanilla Ice had better rapping in them.
Oh well, just like Gretchen's record was the female white trash anthem of last year, I guess Trina is the cheap (BLEEP)/hooker wannabe anthem of this year ;)

BTW, "Jesus Take The Wheel" is receiving most, if not all, of its airplay from WKZL 107.5 from the Greensboro/Winston-Salem market.
