I never "got" that. I figured it was a "word of the week" contest to get kids to learn something new:

"I'm Dan Rather, that's the CBS Evening News, fistula."

"I'm Dan Rather, that's the CBS Evening News, thorax."

"I'm Dan Rather, that's the CBS Evening News, dismemberment."

I should've looked at this thread yesterday...I remember discussions about this in the newsroom at KTNS, some along the lines of: "What the h**l was that suppose to mean ?" & some wondering if that was Dan Rather's version of Ed Murrow's "Good Night & Good Luck." I guess it was.
