Couric out in a few weeks, pals say!!!

Yep, when Katie Couric goes down there's going to be some serious cork poppin' at CBS affiliates all over the U.S., including at KPHO.

Albatrosses aren't easy to get rid of though.

What a stupid mistake this was by arrogant, out-of-touch corporate suits.

I love Bob Schieffer, but to me there's a "been there, done that interim anchor" tag. Plus that was almost two years ago. Bob's older and it must be tiring flying between New York and Washington weekly. My guesses are Scott Pelley or Anderson Cooper. Too bad John Roberts couldn't wait a few more years or he'd be on the short list.

On to KPHO, while I'm not home often during this time, I thought it was a good idea to have C.E.N. at 6:00 then local news at 6:30. I doubt whoever they replace Couric with is going to effect KPHO's ratings.
 
Maybe they'll plug in Regis Philbin. The tabs report Ryan Seacrest will be replace the Reeg shortly. Now how lame is THAT move!!!

Please tell me the top-rated network when "American Idol" isn't on. Hint: Les Moonves runs it. The Katie Couric screwup doesn't matter when you have the "CSI"s.
