Inside Radio said:HD interference becomes a federal case.
WYSL, Rochester, NY owner Bob Savage has filed a formal complaint with the FCC alleging his station is suffering "continuous" interference from a Boston station - 353 miles away. His filing says the "IBOC hiss" is "likely to cause loss of advertising revenue" saying, in essence, "WYSL has been condemned to "daytimer status."
Seeing that we are a nation built on law and the interpretation of laws, this is a most interesting and perhaps the most effective way to make one's case regarding the debacle that HD on AM has become.
It's certain many broadcasters large and small will be watching this case make its way through the litigation process, especially since Mr. Savage is an attorney as well as a small market stand-alone AM owner-operator.
Given the nature of the litigation, I wouldn't expect Mr. Savage to comment here, especially since he's made several points in a previous thread as well as other publications.
