Court Shuts Down Terrestrial TV on IVI-TV

NY Times said:
Judge Rules Against Online TV Service

A federal judge ruled Tuesday that Ivi TV must stop rebroadcasting signals of local television stations on the Internet, dealing a major setback to the ambitious online video start-up.

Ivi said the injunction by the U.S. District Court in New York had forced it to shut down most of its service, though some channels will remain available for Web streaming. The company said it would appeal the ruling.

No there isn't. There's a thread about Ivi not offering Philadelphia or Antenna TV. Not one about the court decision.

Well, who cares there is already a thread that mentions IVI. For this user, I was educated by THIS thread, as I was looking forward to signing on to the site, and now doesn't look too promising. Oh well. These days, you can still catch a lot of programming (usually local news) on the stations websites. Perhaps that is where we will be for awhile.

We started adding to that thread after someone threw the court decision into it.
