so i guess radio visionaries like couzin ed prefer dying alone... thats fine with me... so i guess when he has used up radio crap characters like twitchels and lazlo he must pre write everything they say as well... lets not forget what couzin eds job was when he was there... shut up and rock. not too much writing brilliance involved when you prerecord calls during commercial breaks and talk up some stupid song with a delco slushmouth. lets not pretend that anyone in philly will be winning awards for writing everything sucks and according to preston and steve's ratings, sucky writing has never sounded better.

to be honest with you, i'm a 104.5 fan. i think it makes you wonder if dj's are necessary these days. i think their playlist can skew female at times but for the mostpart its pretty good. ysp may be too late as the 3rd 18-49 male station and that is going to be a tough road for couzin ed or whoever they get. forget about howard stern for a minute and just think about how much better rock was back then.... in fact it was so good that ysp is playing it all over again!!! i used to love ysp back in the howard days but did i only love it because of howard? i admit that kidd chris got a little bit of credibility because of howards recommendation but good or bad you can at least appreciate effort in an environment that supports mediocrity.

You're right, 104.5 survives because of mediocrity. Time will tell if anybody can surpass that, because they really are surviving on borrowed time at this point. Same with WMMR. Somebody just needs to do something a bit different, but not much different and I think that will bring the results.

not much to do with couzin ed but i really feel that as a male who doesn't closely follow sports or politics there are only 2 options, music or preston and steve... not discounting what preston and steve have done in their careers but i think it lacks the edge that makes me laugh and not just smirk. soft is good. it just so happens that they run the bizzaro files (for the second time) usually during my short ride to work. i really dont care for the way that one guy reads the thing while the other is horning off in the background im too educated to find this crap amusing. :-\
Preston and Steve are completely un-original and boring. They have had a free ride for a while and that will change with Chris strating. Couzin Ed was always good on the radio. He gets the callers involved. I personally think he's a heck of alot better to listne to than Peirre (YAWN), Matt Cord (Yawn) and Jaxon (Who?). He knows alot about the music and also knows the musicians. I think he's also entertaining between the rock. By the way-I don't think Ed's from Delco, so I don't think he has Delco Slushmouth.
