Coverage Monster!!

KTHT 97.1 showed up in the LAKE CHARLES book with a .5 share and appears to consistently do so.... WOW thats one hot stick. Also Jack FM showed up with a .5 in Lake Charles as well. These are 12+ numbers of course.

You might wanna dust off those bi-focals, DJ. Or unfold the map just a little more.

Lake Charles is at the 50dbu range of Jack; the tower is 25 miles west of Beaumont and Lake Charles is ~65 miles east of Beaumont....and it has 2nd adj 103.3 in Lake Charles (formerly of 103.7!) which causes reception issues....for 103.7 JACK to pull a 0.5 80+ miles away is not bad!!

Too bad Jackfm is not on a City Grade Frequency. 95.7 would have been awesome! Surely folks in Lake Charles know that 103.7 Jack fm is not a true Houston station.

I'm sure they don't care if it's a houston station or not.

why is jack ID'ing themselves using LaPorte? I can pick Jack up just fine here in League City, not too far from LaPorte

Go easy on me I'm new to Houston. I just moved from San Antonio a few weeks ago.

They are licensed to LaPorte.

ah ok...well I'm glad Jack is in houston....or listenable in my area at least. That was pretty much the only station I would listen to back in SA.

If you have access to HD radio, 106.9's HD2 is a similar format, minus the classic rock and oldies. Marilyn Manson to Janet Jackson. No commercials. As for as Jack goes, it is also available on KRBE-HD2, which has a much better signal over all of Houston.
