Cowbell

I believe the cowbell was Bill Mack's trademark.I know when he took it to KLIF he had it then andthat we would be shot at sunrise if we used it.
 
The cowbell goes back a lot further than that. Long ago and far away, WFAA AM and WBAP used to switch frequencies back and forth between 570 & 820 every day. WBAP rang the cowbell to alert their listeners it was time to switch.
 
Maybe with the switchover of the ABC radio properties, we'll see a return to some of the things that made WBAP great...
