Cowboy player calls for boycott of 105.3

The update at the bottom of the story says he was actually upset with the Barsky and Gregg show. It would make no sense to boycott the flagship station when Sham is employed by the Cowboys. Bennett is also paid by The Ticket for his weekly show with BAD Radio. He must not listen to The Ticket much himself, as several shows have questioned his work ethic and focus this season.

Last week is was listening for the first time to the Cowboys on 105.3 and I gotta say the people who are doing the broadcast and the sideline reporting are rude as hell.

I'm a chiefs fan, and during the pre-game and part of the first quarter I heard two things that turned me off from listening to the cowboys on there again.

1) Sideline reporting lady: "So it's cold down here on the field, and when I was last at Philly and it was cold they had hot coffee and chicken broth on the sideline, instead of here in the very friendly Kansas City sideline."

2) Sham or his partner: "So the Chiefs picked up Mike Vrabel this past offense along with Matt Cassel both of who came from the Patriots. Apparently these teams have a partnership going on cause the Chiefs seem to be picking up the players leaving the Pats."

Jagger and the Newy and Richie shows are the only ones that keep me there. Everything else sucks. Go 1360

jeffdfw - I'm not trolling here; why do you say that? You just don't care for the station overall, or is it some specific show you dislike?

and you see this differently how? I think that is the truth.

He was basically saying that the Chiefs were picking up the trash that the Pats wanted to get rid of.

I may have changed what he said, but it was also about a week between then and when I posted. Plus I was going to the fair so I had better things to think of than some windbag homer.

Not the case beginning this season. Brad, Babe, Kristi, and the booth producer are all paid by The Fan directly.

Brad and Babe are lots of things but the classic homer they are not. ;)

If you have ever listened to Marty B's show on BaD radio you will quickly learn he is not wrapped real tight to start with so his opinions (like mine) should be taken with a five pound bag of salt. :)

Chiefs GM Scott Pioli was formerly with the Patriots, so there's some truth to it.

Nice job against the Skins today, BTW.

Yeah, we really showed those Redskins today. Nothing like beating one of the worst NFC teams as one of the worst AFC teams.

It was just the way he said it I guess.

This board has taken shots at the Cowboys radio crews over the years but I suggest you listen to BaD radio's Homer Call of the Week on thursdays sometime. We have been blessed with a wealth of good radio people in all sports in this market.
