The battle has just begun.
I agree with a lot of what you had to say L.T., except to make 1010 Spanish. Tampa has plenty of AM stations in Spanish. If Infinity wants to be competitive in the Spanish market, they had to flip their lowest rated FM signal (WYUU). It was a business decision straight down the line. Perhaps WQYK can hold on to the Outlaw listeners by incorporating as much of the "Kick Ass" vibe as possible without alienating their traditional demographic.
The real country battle in Tampa Bay is just beginning. Now that there are only two country stations, it's anybody's guess who will come out on top. WFUS is just starting out, and hasn't gotten a real trend to follow yet. The outcome of the battle for WYUU's listeners will really not be 100% apparent until around Christmas. By then, both stations will have time to get their normal routines flowing, and we will be able to see how the battle is actually going with a couple of months of having Skip Mahaffey back on the scene.
Oh yeah, and Don and Mike are a live network feed at 3:00pm. I don't think they would want to change the entire network's schedule just so that Steve Austin can stay on the air for an extra hour... or do you just not like the first hour of the Don and Mike show for some reason?
You said "Cowhead is the BEST Person in TB,BAR NONE."I agree, Cowhead is a nice guy, and very good at what he does, but you were singing a different tune when your bike got crushed. (I support the decision to crush it,since you lost the race, and didn't have the gray matter to keep your brand new bike out of harm's way.)
Personally, I don't recall the helmet being part of the bet, but did you even try to save it? Did you even thank Raymond for the bike or Rob for the Helmet?
The last part of that was a rhetorical question, since I am Rob, the guy who bought you the helmet. The answer would be "no".
