Cowherd suspended?

Did I miss something? Colin spends two days using the Chris Benoit tragedy to rip on pro wrestling and call all pro wrestling fans boogereaters and losers (Yes, Colin, Travis Hafner eats his boogers) and uses the deaths of Benoit's wife and mentallyt retarded son to do two days worth of "I hate pro wrestling, and that's a 'you problem' if you disagree with me" rants...and now he's gone today, replaced by Jason Smith even though I can't remember Colin saying he was going on vacation or anything.

I certainly hope he has been suspended and this wasn't a pre-planned vacation/travel day. Just because Cowturd doesn't like pro wrestling is not an excuse for him to use the tragic death of Eddy Guerrero or the Benoit murder/suicide to insult a bunch of his listeners.

Haven't heard anything about it. It is the middle of the summer, though. Dan Patrick's not around half the time either, so it doesn't necessarily mean anything sinister.

I really like Cowherd, but he does go over the top on things like this. Of course, so did everybody else. Reason took a back seat pretty quickly.

Rarely do I disagree with Colin, as he tends to be 'right on' with most of the topics he covers and always seems to have done his research, backed up with facts. I doubt he was suspended over what he said about wrestling. In my opinion, no one should be suspended for speaking the truth just because it gets someone's pants in a wad. Colin is the best at what he does, bar none. No one else comes close to his ability to bring the facts to the table and tell it like it is.

Does NOT look that way...

Cowherd was back on the air this week...
probably just a few days off.

I have noticed that ESPN radio has some odd schedules for their hosts to have days off...

Once awhile back, Cowherd remarked during one of his shows that during NFL season (training camps start at the end of July and go through the NFL Pro Bowl in February) ESPN brass prefer that they not take off many days for vacation during this time, because NFL and college football are the main drivers of ESPN Radio ratings/listeners. So the ESPN Radio hosts tend to use up most of their vacation time in early spring and summer, when not much is going on in NFL and college football.
