Cox and HD

js said:
I'm pretty sure I remember hearing hd on K99.1 . No hd-2, but I think Iboc is on it.

If you go to http://www.hdradio.com/find_an_hd_digital_radio_station.php you can find HD Radio stations. WHKO is not listed and has never been to my knowledge. Clear Channel seems to have the highest level of implementation of all. Cox has probably wisely kept out of the HD fray, the other widely implemented group are the NPR public stations who must have gotten some kind of concession on equipment and licensing fees.

I would hate to have our publicly funded, listener supported broadcasters wasting money on HD when it could be more wisely spent on facilities and programming.

The website needs updating. Just checked. K99.1 is HD, and is coming in loud & clear in downtown Cincinnati.
