This was on www.pointradio.com this morning around 5 am. It's not up there now, redirects to WPTE/94.9 in Norfolk
I got a screenshot located at: http://s169.photobucket.com/albums/u228/radiodxrichmond/?action=view¤t=Pointscreen.jpg
Also, according to the Mix NETwork Newsletter sent to my e-mail Friday night (I didn't open it until this morning), I see this:
Dear Mix NETwork Subscriber:
It is with a mixture of sadness and excitement that we come to you today to announce the end of Mix 103-7. The sadness comes because we believed that Richmond deserved a station that was all about the music, yet safe enough for the children. We will miss providing the people of Richmond a true alternative to the commercial mumbo-jumbo and DJ banter found on other stations.
The excitement comes because we have been given the opportunity to provide Richmond with a new radio station. Something so irresistable, you'll have it on in the garage, at the gym, or in the car. Starting Tuesday at 6am, join us for Richmond's NEW 103-7 the Point! We'll be playing the best of the 80's, 90's and today with less talk! Here's a sample of the artists you'll hear on the NEW 103-7 the Point:
Ace of Base
Queen
The B-52's
New Order
The Clash
Third Eye Blind
Depeche Mode
Eve 6
Pearl Jam
Finger Eleven
R.E.M.
Gin Blossoms
Heart
Tears For Fears
Oasis
Joy Division
These and many more artists will be on the NEW 103-7 the Point starting Tuesday at 6:00 AM. Along with three decades of great music, you can still listen to Jack and Jen in the Morning on the NEW 103-7 the Point. Also, be sure to bookmark our new site at www.pointradio.com
Thanks for your support of MIX 103-7, and we hope you enjoy the NEW 103-7 the Point!
Reminds me of a mix between Star 107-3 and B-103. Will Richmond get "the Point" and listen?
Tell me what y'all think,
