Cox Gets Googled

http://www.insideradio.com/Article.asp?id=2625798

Stepping up its partnership with the digital giant, Cox has just become the first radio station owner to become a Google Premier SMB Partner... That means a Google-certified Cox Radio account exec can offer Search Engine Optimization tools and advertising on YouTube and Google’s display network in the same breath as the broadcaster’s own digital offerings.

I bet our own "Caller10" is going to favorite every one of those Jordan Graye YouTube ads. ;D

That's all true, but Cox doesn't sell YouTube videos of its stations. It sells YouTube content appropriate to what the client is advertising just like other online content providers do. Cox's radio people are selling a holistic solution, from creating the advertiser's website to managing reputation to advertising, etc.

And these 360 degree advertising solutions from Gannett, Clear Channel, Cox, Cumulus, et al. is why Groupon is getting hammered.

I'd rather geek out with Craig Ashwood and find out what's really going on at Digital White Columns.
