Cox Planning Jacksonville Shakeup

I’ve been in South Florida the last few days but I’ve gotten lots of emails and texts on the new Easy 106.5. There’s no question a softer AC has been long overdue for Jacksonville. Well, at least Jax finally has the format now.
Cox, as usual, executes new formats flawlessly. I’m pleased the listeners have another choice. It’s also about the music. Easy 106.5 is playing great songs that haven’t been heard in a while in Jax. In my view, competition makes for a better radio market. Listeners really do win. Monopoly radio only serves the company well, and not the listeners.
I’m impressed with the entire sound of Easy 106.5. The songs flow so beautifully from one to another. You can tell someone who knows and understands the format is behind the music. Great job! I can’t wait to be back in Jax to hear the station live on the radio!
