Higher operating costs offset slightly higher revenue gains at Cox Radio during the second quarter. On Wednesday (Aug. 1), the Atlanta-based operation reported that net income fell 21% to $20.3 million, or 21 cents per share, from $25.7 million, or 27 cents per share, during the same time last year.
Thomson Financial analysts had expected a 20-cent gain.
