COX Radio Southwestern CT

Gotta give 'em props. All the COX radio affiliates in Fairfield County are banding together and simulcasting call-ins of people's stories from the storm. Also they are helping out people by connecting them with others in the area for help with things like generators, places to get a shower, gas stations with gas available and places to stay. This touches my heart big time.

If there is an award for something like this, they should win. Props to COX!!!

And you'd have to wonder what impact 96.7 would have during this period, had it still been under Cox ownership... They probably would be simulcasting whatever is running on the cluster, but still...

Yup! I was listening to 95.9 The Fox WFOX. They had a couple days of just taking local calls and giving updates. Definitely the way to go, thumbs up Cox!

Makes you wonder why Cox sold off 96.7 and didn't simulcast WSTC/WNLK on it. I'm sure the cash was welcomed. But in other markets around the U.S., Atlanta, Jacksonville, just last month Orlando, Cox has been giving its news-talk AM stations an FM simulcast.
