COX Radio Upgrades Their Station Streams

Finally Cox Radio has joined the land of the audio living and is offering AAC streams on their station web site audio players.
Previously it had been (for most stations): 48 kbps, 22.05 kHz, mono.
Now it's 48 kbps, 44.1 kHz, stereo, AAC.

Examples are San Antonio: KONO-FM-101.1/KONO-AM-860, KISS-FM, KCYY-FM, KSMG-FM, KTKX-FM, KKYX-AM.
Miami: WEDR-FM, WFEZ-FM, WFEZ-HD2, WFLZ-FM, WHQT-FM.
Long Island, NY: WBAB-FM, WBLI-FM.
Atlanta: WSB-AM-750/WSBB-FM-95.5, WSB-FM-98.5, WSRV-FM-97.1, WALR-FM-104.1.

Cox Media website with media properties list by market/map: http://www.coxmediagroup.com/about/ourproperties/

The stream provider for Cox Radio is streamtheworld.com, thus the format for the streaming direct URL to use to plug in to various AAC compatible media players would be:

http://provisioning.streamtheworld.com/pls/CALLLETTERSAMAAC.pls or
http://provisioning.streamtheworld.com/pls/CALLLETTERSFMAAC.pls

Examples:

For KKYX-AM San Antonio: http://provisioning.streamtheworld.com/pls/KKYXAMAAC.pls
For WHQT-FM Miami:        http://provisioning.streamtheworld.com/pls/WHQTFMAAC.pls

On simulcasts the streaming URL will usually be for the more established or dominant station - check both AM + FM to be sure.
