Cox stations to Fox News?

WHIO 1290 made the switch this morning. Is this just a Dayton thing, or is it all Cox News/talkers?

In Tulsa, Cox's KRMG 740 made the switch to Fox News many months ago, taking the service from their main competetor, KFAQ 1170.<P ID="signature">______________

...who had it for some time, as one of its first affiliates before CC stepped in.

WSB will likely never have it, as CC owns bottomdweller WGST.

Thing is...why would anyone in their right mind want to switch to Fox News Radio? Their newscasts are amateurish and just another way to repurpose the TV audio from the cable service.

True that; I like the way KFI does Fox News - every other station is an O&O of ABC, CBS, etc. and has rights to those casts; KFI is live/local 24/7 and never runs a FNR cast, but gets all the benefits of affiliation. Which, as you mention, do not include good news.

KFI News is WAY easier to listen to than KNX these days.

Actually KFAQ did not lose Fox News, even though KRMG's promos implied that they did. Both stations have had Fox News for a few months now. KFAQ is now running a promo saying that KRMG is going to lose Fox News.
