Coyote Country names PD

It's Brad Hansen from Journal/Springfield Missouri where he was OM as well as PD for country KTTS.

Hansen has also been named OM for the Beasley/Las Vegas cluster.

Wonder how the staff @ Beasley/Vegas feel about Hansen getting both titles.
Were they also searching for a new OM?

i'd like to apply for any on air talent jobs. are they even looking out of state, which is where i am or are they hiring mostly from within?

This is pure speculation on my part, but I'm rarely wrong :)

I'll bet KTTS's consultant is the same guy consulting KCYE and they never intended to interview anyone, despite the ads in various trades. I know for a fact that highly qualified people who applied for the job were never even called back. It's extremely tacky to make a big public announcement of who your new PD is without at least notifying the other applicants first.

Hansen has his work cut out for him. Somebody made the stupid decision to name the radio stataion after a desert scavenger that is generally regarded as a "varmit." Remember Wyle E. Coyote in the Road Runner cartoons? He was the guy who always lost. Is that the image you'd want for your radio station?

Have you seen their logo? It's says "The Coyote" and "Coyote Country". Somewhat redundant. (But at least it looks better than KWNR's logo, wich looks like it was designed by a 4th grade art class).

OK, the music is decent (if you like country), but unless they hire some real talent, instead of the lame jocks heard on most LV stations, it's just more of the same.
