I see where they have been granted a Construction Permit to move the transmitter farther inland, with the same 100kw, at nearly 2k ft. tall. Looks like KJOJ would have city grade up to nearly Katy north, into Galveston with ease, and west nearly to Victoria. Application was filed on Oct. 2, 2008. With this upgrade, La Raza would certainly cover a lot of real estate.

I wonder if La Raza would still be on 98.5, or maybe LBI will have formats changes and maybe ove El Norte to 98.5.

With KTXX possibly moving more west it will help the Victoria area get KJOJ also. Its a wonder why they didn't try to move KNTE and KXGJ on that tower as well. Will that be a new tower?

Because both KNTE and KXGJ are closer to the Missouri city antenna farm. KHMX is a class C (making it harder for KNTE to move as close as KJOJ). KXGJ has KQXT and KMJQ forcing it to broadcast at lower power. KJOJ in the other hand has to only deal with KLTN, which is farther from KJOJ and is a class C0. KTXX is a Class C2. I'm shure there are more things into consideration as to why KNTE and KXGJ can't move in closer, but I think you can now see why they are at different towers and aren't able to move in with KJOJ.
