CP Issued to Telesouth for 103.3 Greenwood...

Looks like a CP has been issued for a new class A (6kW, 100m HAAT) station licensed to Greenwood. The tx looks to be located out near the Malmasion home site in Carroll County.

Any guesses on how long until it's built out, if ever? I'm not really familiar with the time frame of going from CP to license. I don't know much about Telesouth, other than they run the Supertalk stations - one of which is already in Greenwood. Between this and the CP for WGNL 104.3 to move to a newly erected tower in the Avalon community of Grenada County, I'm surprised at the radio activity here.

Zack IMHO these moves are strictly to prevent another operator from entering the market...which they absolutely do not need. After what Telesouth paid for the cp, they will build, I am sure. And, yes, I predict supertalk.
Their other station was rock, but I do not know the format of the day is.

If they were just putting these into the market to keep a competitor out, would they be interested in selling either station to a non-com? I'm always looking for something that we might be able to use.

They already have a SuperTalk station in the area, WTCD 96.9. The other station they own, WTMX, changed to Bob last year. Bob is variety hits, just like Jack.

most of their fm stations are supertalk except Q93.7 and Bob.

WPMP(AM)

Just an FYI... WPMP-AM does air some Supertalk programming, but Telesouth doesn't own it.

WPMP is owned by "Flagship Radio Group" headed by Tim Lee, who worked as a Affiliate Rep/Sales for USA Radio full time, and still does some work for them

I notice WPMP has a dual city of license, Pascagoula-Moss Point, MS

The only other AM I know of like that is 790, WLBE Leesburg-Eustis, FL
