When the malfeasance by a previous GM was uncovered, it triggered a major forensic audit, which has been released and the results of which are on this board.
There was also an audit by the Corporation for Public Broadcasting, which found that, in fact, the GM in question, who held three positions (CEO, COO and CFO) had in fact, overreported fundraising and obtained more matching funds from CPB than was warranted. There were other irregularities as well.
CapRadio will have to refund CPB $200,000 in overpayments.
CapRadio's Sarit Lachinsky and Claire Morgan, a former CapRadio producer now with the California Newsroom have, as they have throughout the two-year saga, produced thorough, fair reporting.

Also important to note: CPB did an audit of 2024 (the first full year in which the previous GM had no involvement) and found no issues.
