With the continued decline of the ratings at Rock 103, would it not be smarter for CC to dump Classic Rock completely?
simply put, on V101's HD2 channel sits their BA Smooth Jazz Network, with Ramsey Lewis in the mornings, unknown in the afternoons, Dave Koz in the PM drive, and automated at night. On a larger stick like 103, wouldn't they A) pull better numbers, B) flank K97 and V101, providing the full spectrum of music for the majority of Memphians, and C) save money since you are syndicating?
103's stick can penetrate office buildings, and I believe there is a market for Smooth Jazz here. Besides, with the Wake Up Crew no longer in existence (the REAL one, anyway) and D&Z kicking their butts in the morning, why not blow up and start over?
