Craig Ferguson leaving 'Late Late Show'

Wow...well that's something I wasn't expecting. Although he's been having a lot of fun lately, taking fake phone calls from Jay Leno and Conan O'Brien.

Perhaps this is actually a folding of the Worldwide Pants tent, since they own both Dave & Craig, opening the door for Colbert's company to also own 12:30.

It's interesting when you have a guy who's mainly an actor and touring comedian then become the host of a daily TV show. Being a TV host is not the only job he can do. He has other options. Kind of like Leno or Seinfeld. These guys ride it out as long as it's fun, and then go back to whatever they were doing before. Plus he's got a young kid to raise. So does Dave. Now they can afford to be stay-at-home dads.

Looks like Comedy Central is calling you, Ferguson! Come on over to the show that airs after the Daily Show and do 30 minutes of stand-up!
CBS will miss 'ya, Craig. Craig is one of the best comedians in the world. Secretariat and Geoff make it 10x funnier. Thanks for 10 funny years at 12:35 (oh, sorry, 12:37.)

Are you kidding? 30 minutes of fresh stand-up every night? Do you know how much work that is? Far easier to write one hour of good stuff, and take it on the road, where the same stuff is new to the audience every night.

I don't see how he is one of Jeff Rollins' favorite hosts. However, this show is not one that I recall him commenting on the next day, which means he could be taping it in some way.

I don't know what time zone Jeff is in, but on normal days his show starts at 9 A.M. Eastern where I live. If the usual morning DJ has the day off, sometimes he is already there by 8 (though he's always there; it's up to the individual stations how much of the show they should air). And he could be earlier than that because I don't even turn on the radio before then. If Jeff is in the west that means his show starts at 5 A.M. or earlier. Craig Ferguson would be on from 12:30 to 1:30, I assume, even in his time zone.
