Craig Robbins

I worked with Craig at WMC 79 in the late '80's and was very fond of him. Haven't seen him in a very long time. Now I wish I had. :'(

My condolences to his family & close friends.

Many of us will miss him. Wish I would have taken him up on that lunch offer....

Craig was a first class journalist and broadcaster...and more importantly a GREAT guy. He did our morning news at WMC for years and was just a delight to work with. Karen and I still listen every morning on our way in to catch up on what's going on in the world... and now he is gone. Our condolences, thoughts and prayers to Sue, Debbie, Forest, Steve and the entire crew at C.C.

Craig was a very dedicated radio news anchor and talk host. I enjoyed working with him and I'm sorry to hear of his passing. He had a great sense of humor and he will be missed.

Wow. I worked with Craig at 790 as well. Spencer said it best. No one ever said anything bad about him. He’ll be missed.

He also worked as the P.A. Announcer for the tennis matches at The Racquet Club. There were a few times that we would sit right behind him in the Media Seats but I never introduced myself. He was always so focused on the job that it felt rude to interrupt. Very sad to hear.

He had such a quick wit...He always seemed to be in such a good mood- even under the most stressful of times.

He was the consumate professional, that always got the job done.

RIP Craig.

I sat in shock when I got the call today. Prayers to his wife, Sue. Craig will be missed.

I worked with Craig at WMC-79, as well. He was a great guy and seemed to be the consumate professional. My condolences to those who knew & loved him better than I.

I always check out the WREC morning show on the way in to the station in the mornings, and was saddened and shocked by the news Friday. Condolences to his family, co-workers, media friends, and, like me, just plain-old-listeners.

I am so deeply saddened from hearing this news early Saturday morning. Working with Craig at the tennis tournament every year for so many years was a pleasure. What a class-act and hilarious guy! I also learned later his devotion and dedication to animals, and how he used his talent and voice to bring to light the animal cruelty problems in Memphis. I am fortunate that I was able to discuss these issues with him throughout the past couple of years as well.

Memphis has suffered a great loss - words just seem so inadequate to describe how much Craig meant to this community. My prayers and sincere condolences to his wife, Sue.

I've never written on this board before and meant to when we lost Dr. Bob McDowell... I owe my career to Dr. Bob and think of him often since he's buried across the street from my current workplace!

Years ago, I would have to be on Beale St. 4am and it was hardly a morning that Craig was not already hard at work for a 6am show. He DESPISED it (And I loved it!) when I would write notes on his Yankees calendar and the ONLY time I ever saw him upset would be talking negative about his home state baseball team! Otherwise I never heard him talk down about anyone or anything. Always positive... Always charming... And one of the hardest workers in Memphis radio history...

He will be missed.... cbj

Wow, I just found out about this and this is a big shock for sure. I only worked with Craig for a short time in 2005-2006, and he was a great guy. He will surely be missed. His family and friends are in my prayers.

God bless you Craig.

I just got off the campaign trail and I'm stunned to learn about Craig's passing. He was a fine newsman and a wonderful person on and off the air. I thoroughly enjoyed getting to know him over the past few years. Everytime I'm back home in Memphis, I enjoyed listening to Memphis Morning News. He will be dearly missed.
