Cramer right? The firings conitnue

Cramer and Jerry Del Caliano may just be right.

More madness of slashing payroll at WODS, WEEI, WRKO, WZLX, WBCN. The radio industry is dieing from a thoudand cuts. Becoming dead-end junk for workers and listeners and the communities they no no longer bother to "serve".

Info from www.allaccess.com

When/how do we put and end to these vultures and reclaim the industry?

....tyler henderson?.....is dat "happy"?.....if so no great loss....always asleep at da switch!.....

Longtime WEEI producer Rene Marchando, WRKO producer Tyler Henderson are gone;
George Regan: "They've been repositioned"

The bummer continues. I know Rene, he's a real professional, and he was dedicated to his job. He did a lot more behind the scenes at WEEI and Entercom for the past decade and a half than just producing the one show mentioned.

I hate SPIN A$$HOLES!

Repositioned?

To where? The unemployment line?

YOU are the one that needs REPOSITIONING Mr. Regan!

Now down on your hands and knees, worm! Your Mistress will be here soon......

If anyone at a station needs a first class producer, please talk to Rene Marchando. I've know him from HDH and EEI and he is a great man. Just spoke to him 4 days ago. Very sorry to hear about the others, too who lost their jobs. These radio companies paid way, way too much for all these stations and now all they can do is cut and cut.

Tyler Henderson is apparently not "Happy" from the Howie Carr show, as Howie kept
talking to him/giving him instructions yesterday. I did a websearch and found that Tyler had working on some weekend shows, maybe ... (I got a text excerpt from a podzinger podcast)...and SaveWRKO.com had
heard he was the producer for Reese Hopkins

Well, yesterday, your personal good friend, Alex Langer, announced that Mr Regan would soon be starting an AM-drive show on WBIX! I assume that Mr R is self employed in a business he owns and that that business sells its PR services to Entercom. So Regan's having his own (presumably) leased-time show on WBIX would not appear to constitute a conflict of interest--at least according to the letter of the law--although I suppose that if Entercom viewed it as such, they could terminate their use of Regan's services on zero or next-to-zero notice. My understanding is that it is customary in the PR business to provide services to clients on an essentially no-notice basis. I suppose that if Entercom considered Regan's show to be in competition with WRKO's Tom Finneran, they could use that as a reason to terminate Regan's services--although I don't think they would have to state any reason.

My personal regret in matter is that what I viewed as, by far, Boston's best radio show on investing, Chuck Jaffe's "Your Money," is being displaced from the 6:00 to 7:30AM slot on WBIX. Jaffe announced that the show would be moving to WBNW in the same slot effective this past Monday, but it has not appeared there yet. WBNW's nighttime signal where I live is often unlistenable; WBIX has intermittent problems here at night also but the signal is better than WBNW's.

for now, Jay Gordon and Elvis Only is still listed on the features page of the WODS site
http://www.oldies1033.com/pages/21644.php

but he is indeed gone from the main DJ page...we'll see (is it poss. he buys time from them
to air the show? but maybe it's gone...?)

Jay does syndicate the show to a number of stations nationally, so it's possible that they may run it as one of his affiliates without him working there anymore. I don't know for sure, but I think I've heard that he produces it at his own home studio.
